Welcome to Pet Rescue North,
Duncan's Web Site!
We
are committed to giving dogs and cats the health and well being they deserve. Join us in making Jacksonville a real
pet haven. Save a life - spay, neuter, adopt.
NOTE TO ADOPTERS
"Lassie, Cleo, Rin Tin Tin and
Toto don't show up in a Rescue shelter. We don't get the elegantly coiffed, classically beautiful,
completely trained, or perfectly behaved dog or cat. We get the leftovers. Animals that
other people have incompetently bred, inadequately socialized, ineffectively "trained," and badly treated. Most
Rescue dogs and cats have had it. They've been pushed from one lousy situation to another. They've
never had proper veterinary care, kind and consistent training, or sufficient company. They've lived
outside, in a crate, or in the basement. They're scared, depressed and anxious. Some
are angry. Some are sick. Some have given up.
But
we are an Animal Rescue and we don't give up. We never give up on animal. We know
that they are living beings, with a spirit, a heart and feelings. Our animals are not commodities, things,
or garbage. They are part of sacred creation and they deserve as much love and care and respect as the
next Westminster champion. So please, please don't come to rescue a dog or cat in the hopes of getting
a "bargain," or indeed of "getting" anything. Come to the shelter to give, to love,
to save a life and to mend your own spirit. For Rescue will reward you in ways you never thought possible.
We can promise you this -- a rescue dog or cat will make you a better person." Unknown

BONNIE } POOCH
OF THE MONTH -
|

BONNIE
BREED: Yellow
Lab Mix; GENDER: Female; AGE:
Adult; SIZE: Large Bonnie is a very sweet, loving dog. She is about 3 years old and 70 pounds.
She was saved only hours before being euthanized at Animal Control. She
loves everyone, and is always excited to meet new people. Bonnie is great with kids, although due to her
size she would do better with older children. Bonnie is currently being treated for heartworm, but it isn't
slowing her down! She loves to go for car rides, chase tennis balls, go to the dog park, or just cuddle
up and watch a movie. Bonnie plays well with her foster brothers, but she likes to be the boss and would do better in a home
with no other dogs. She is housebroken, crate trained, spayed and has recently completed a beginner obedience
class with flying colors! SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: No small children; Cats are an unknown

You don't need to adopt to save a life! Duncan says DONATE!

|
| DONATIONS |
HELP!!! Sam's Club has greatly reduced it donations of dog food over the past several months, and PRN has had to purchase food which is very expensive. While we search for other food donors your help would
be greatly appreciated in the form of monetary donations or actual food. Cheaper dog foods such as Ol' Roy, Feed Store
brands, no name food, etc. are not the best for us because they typically give the dogs diarrhea. Than you for any assistance you can provide.
